I'm running PCLinuxOS, fully updated with Python and setuptools already installed. But it doesn't appear to have the config subdirectory called by easy_install. I've posted to their support website, as well, but I someone here has a suggestion...

Sorry you're having issues getting things to go. You might have a look at

and some of the other documentation on that site to see if that can help you along. There's some information there on how to install dependencies when easy_install doesn't do the job for you.

If still stuck look for me (or anyone else) in the #tiddlyweb channel on irc.freenode.net or post to the TiddlyWikiDev Google Group.

For testing and experimenting I wouldn't bother with mod_wsgi initially. Use the built in cherrypy server. Once you have some familiarity with TiddlyWeb, then try mod_wsgi and other adaptations.

Sorry as a neophyte to be complaining, but it seems that the essential site http://www.wikklytext.com/ just doesn't return what's needed to install TiddlyWeb for me (or for that matter the osxgnu site what's needed in Lynx for this Mac so I can get a status from apachectl so I can follow the advice to work with mod_wsgi). I'd love to be trying to make use of TiddlyWeb for, e.g., W3C spec work, or as better way to deal with Maths Subject Classification discussion and development (cf. http://msc2010.org) or other natural projects.
