I think there's a lot of confusion about context because there are really several levels of abstraction being discussed on the list at once. Some people really want a standard meta data format - and at a certain level, that's greatly needed - but others (myself at least) are more interested in how resources are organized and moved around.
What I'd like to get from that discussion is an understanding of the elements that should be common to all Web based publishing applications, if any such elements exist - regardless of the data format being used.
